Renee Johnson leads WWF’s Human Resources function for our US and field-based staff and is responsible for developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive HR strategy that supports WWF’s strategic, operational, and programmatic objectives. She brings a wealth of experience and track record of success across a wide array of human capital disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, organizational development, workforce and succession planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Renee joined WWF in 2019, most recently serving as vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion. In this role, she was responsible for leading WWF’s strategy and programmatic initiatives to ensure a workplace and culture where all employees feel supported and enabled to fulfill WWF’s mission. Renee came to WWF after a 14-year career with management and information technology consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, where she held various senior human resources leadership roles and was responsible for planning and executing effective talent strategies and enhancing organizational capability and effectiveness.
Prior to her time at Booz Allen, Renee held multiple human resources positions in divisions within Honeywell International’s aerospace business and earned Six Sigma Greenbelt certification. She is a graduate of Towson University.
