Loren brings immense operational experience with networked organizations in the fields of strategy consulting, performing arts, and journalism. In her role at WWF, she oversees the operational functions, the resource mobilization teams, and strategic partnerships, including Communications, Development, Finance, HR, IT, Public and Private Partnerships, and Risk Management. She helps drive the organization’s strategy and improve the overall workplace culture, while advancing WWF’s mission with external stakeholders.
Prior to WWF, Loren was President of Operations at National Public Radio (NPR) where she oversaw the full suite of organizational operations, including Programming, Member Partnership, Policy and Representation, IT, Engineering and Distribution, Business Development, HR, Legal, and Diversity teams. In that capacity, Loren led NPR in identifying new business opportunities, developing NPR’s strategic plan, and building a strong empowering culture.
Before NPR, Loren held leadership roles at PBS, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and worked with clients in the non-profit and media sectors during her tenure at McKinsey & Company. Loren has an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in theater from Northwestern University, where she also served as a visiting assistant professor.
