Jason W. Haggins is a senior director at a global consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal in New York. He advises clients on bankruptcy and accounting-based issues and specializes in evaluating businesses, developing business and recapitalization plans, and providing strategic advice for building consensus among a company's various constituencies. Jason also consults public and private companies facing allegations of financial misconduct, such as accounting irregularities, asset misappropriation, and regulatory non-compliance. Jason spent years unwinding various business transactions for what was once the fourth largest investment bank in the U.S.—and the world’s largest bankruptcy—where he focused on maximizing the value of the firm’s assets, mitigating creditor claims, and recovering assets that were transferred prior to its bankruptcy. He also assisted in the restructuring of a multinational telecommunications company. Jason serves as a board member of the Sall Family Foundation and chairs its investment committee. He also serves as a voting advisory board member of a multi-manager investment fund that invests in early and early-growth stage venture capital and SME finance funds based in emerging markets. Jason holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and BS in accounting and economics, magna cum laude, from North Carolina State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
