Carlos Quintela
Senior Program Officer, US Government Partnerships
As senior program officer on the US government partnerships team, Carlos works with WWF programs and offices around the world to apply for US government funding. By keeping up with the US government’s international development priorities, policies, and strategies, he supports the development of strong partnerships between WWF and US government agencies. Carlos manages proposal efforts, focused primarily on forests, freshwater, and wildlife.
Before joining WWF, Carlos worked in the water initiative at Forest Trends, supporting global efforts to scale up investments in watershed services and green infrastructure. Before that, he worked at a large USAID contractor, managing projects in Latin America and learning how to develop USAID proposals. Carlos has a master’s degree in global environmental policy from American University, where he focused on watershed governance and ecosystem services, and studied for six months in Colombia.
