Living Planet Report 2020: Youth Edition Education Pack

The Living Planet Report is a comprehensive study of trends in global biodiversity and the health of the planet produced by WWF every two years.

The Living Planet Report is a comprehensive study of trends in global biodiversity and the health of the planet produced by WWF every two years. This health-check for the planet shows how the natural world is doing, what threats it faces, and what this means for humans.

Through multiple indicators including the Living Planet Index, our latest Living Planet Report tells us the population sizes of mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, and reptiles have seen an alarming average drop of 68% since 1970.

We have created a special version of the report for young people. The 12-page youth edition of the report explains the Living Planet Index and highlights the key findings and recommendations through graphics and case studies. Use the Living Planet Report Youth Edition as a scientific resource with your 6th-12th grade students and/or in conjunction with the activities.
